Digging Out

Like a lot of the world, we have had a lot of cold weather, ice and snow! Two of the family has enjoyed it, including Jaxon...

...and Samantha (and you can see how much snow we got!)

Also, we used a little snow reflection to get some snaps of the Star Wars quilt.

And although the back is just a sheet, I thought you might like to see the tootsies of my quilt hanger.

BRRRRRR!!!!!!

  2. And should you feel compelled to escape your weather "situation", it's been quite lovely in LA as of late. I'm thisclose to opening our windows, it's a bit stuffy in the house!

  3. Are those toes peeking out from underneath the quilt?! I can't imagine that is fun!

As I live in Florida, having a little bit of the snow down here would be fun!

  7. As a total SW geek I would have loved this quilt whatever it looked like but, really, the design is just exemplary. You are so clever!!! And as a barefoot warrior myself (and a hardy Scot) I still think the kid is nuts!! *grins*

(my wv is HELLA - as in hella yeah!! *snort* )

  8. That quilt is great! I love the modern design. We had about 7inches of snow here, thankfully it is melting now and the kids went back to school yesterday, but it's still too cold!

  9. Yikes!!!! those are some cold toes!! I love the Star Wars quilt - all three of the boys would fight over it in this house. Vintage sheet or new? I don't like the cartoon clone sheets I've seen lately.

  10. oh my goodness! I can't let my 8 year old see this. I just finished a quilt for him and it's rather plain and boring compared to this one!

  13. OHMYGOSH! Is he standing barefoot in the snow? He sounds like my hubby -- he has yet to wear a winter coat this year -- everyone at work makes fun of him. Those guys are crazy!

The quilt looks marvelous! I love the "arrow" type piecing! Very Cool!

  14. OMGosh!! I made the mistake of clicking on your blog while my two boys were in the room with me. And now I'm required to ask ~ where did you find the sheet? Is it new or a vintage find? I'm required to ask, because I'm now required to *make one* just like yours :)

  19. Great quilt, Beth! What size is it? I'm making one for Jack (not Star Wars but hopefully with some In Transit fabric by Michael Miller if I can find enough). How many yards did this use up?
