Insert Primal Scream Here.

Next time someone asks if you want to oversee your department's conversion from quarters to semesters while upholding all your regular home and work responsibilities (plus a couple of projects on the side) AND try to wrap up your first (giant) swap...

RUN FOR THE HILLS...

We are now a month and a week past the Scrappy Holiday Block Swap deadline. We have several participants who haven't received all their blocks yet...

A lot of the missing blocks have been shipped so I am hoping it is a matter of slow post and blocks aren't lost. However, a few participants still haven't notified me of shipping, and haven't responded to my emails. I'm getting nervous!

Please, if you can't follow through please let me know so I can make other arrangements for your teammates.

In cheerier news, I have completed three charity tops...two tree skirts and a quilt!

And I have lots of charity blocks left (thank you, generous swappers)! Taya suggested that she would construct a quilt for a local charity, so some are winging their way to her. I'm going to hold off on sewing any more together...I would like to suggest that I send charity blocks to those who haven't received all their blocks. Thoughts??

Also, all that lovely white cotton sashing was donated by my grandmother (Thanks, Mamma!!), and the natural linen blend came from my stash. But I am in need of donations of yardage for backing and binding, batting, and $ for postage to get these projects to the quilting and binding volunteers and back for auction. Molly, who has volunteered to quilt one project, has also donated the batting for that quilt. Thanks, Molly! Every little bit helps, so let me know if you'd like to send something, or PayPal a few dollars to bethnovak [at] roadrunner [dot] com. Thanks!

Also, Jaxon was playing with charity blocks as I opened them and these were separated from their envelopes without labels. Do you recognize these blocks?

Beth, Let me know what size backing you need - I have access to a source of quilt shop quality fabric and would be happy to send you some yardage.

well...i'm one of the people that did not get blocks from someone. But you know what? don't worry about it! If I never get them I will be happy. It was fun to swap! Love the quilts you put together!

I think I spy my charity block in one of the tree skirts but I would have been more than happy for it to have gone to one of the girls who haven't received all their blocks. What a shame! In fact, I've got enough fabric left for one block (maybe two!) and am more than happy to send an extra couple blocks for other girls. I love my swap - in fact I'm about to quilt my finished top - so would like to help out if I can.

Hi Beth,
The very last photo of the nameless block is mine.
Thank you so much for organizing this awesome swap!

You've been soooo busy! Everything looks great! I don't mind if my charity block goes to someone who didn't get all of their blocks....

I spotted my charity block in one of the tree skirts already so I can't tell you to send it out to someone missing blocks. I do however have fabric to make some more of these blocks and if you need help getting blocks to those who are missing them I would be more than happy to whip up a few more and send them on their way. Just let me know how I can help.

oh wow, you did such awesome work on everything. I know I'm one of the ones who hasn't received one set of my blocks (but I'm sure they're on their way) You can send my charity block to someone if you want.

I'd volunteer to send fabric, but I don't have yardage, and I don't have paypal either. :(

I'll be happy to either send blocks or bucks ... let me know which you prefer :-)

I don't know if I'm too late to weigh in. I'm still missing two blocks, but I would prefer the charity blocks remain charity blocks. If I don't receive the missing blocks, I can always make some more for myself.

Thank you for all the hard work you've put into this swap!

I found my block in the third quilt. lol .... Can't help to spy my own block. Beth you did a great job putting them all together in the mist of your busy working schedule.

I have not received the last 2 blocks yet BUT DONT WORRY about me (already made 2 more myself). You have done so much work to arrange everything for us. I had a good time with you all.
