This weekend is the last of the month, so I thought I better get my February Pattern Pact done, especially because I have an unexpected work trip tomorrow and Friday.
I decided to make the flower pincushion from the Spring 2008 Quilts and More magazine. Go ahead, go look at it, the pin cushion is in the lower right corner of the cover.
Welcome back. Does the pin cushion look extremely large to you?
Well, it is:
That cake plate holds a 6" cake. Here, maybe this will give you a reference:
See that little pinhead? It's a large-headed pin! Huge, I tell ya!
I'm glad I got it done, though, as I fly out very early in the morning. Where am I going? I'll give you a hint. My meeting will take place here:
if the photo won't display, click on it!
This is a scene from one of my favorite films. The first to name the film and where this scene is set might just get a small thank you gift for stopping by!
I miss you all already, but especially this guy...

Gotta love Cary Grant! That said, I don't recognize the film so you will have to fill me in and I can put it on my list for when I have a few free hours (I keep thinking that will happen eventually!)
i have no idea on the film... and I'm thinking I don't think I've seen those cute lil prints in the frames behind the cute (albeit giganto) pincushion... ;)
Oh Beth - I know what it is but I have an in and want to be fair. I do believe that you and I have had the pleasure of seeing this on the big screen at the Ohio Theater. Have fun. - J
Dang it! I have NO clue! I hope you have a wonderful trip. I LOVE jumbo pincushions -- especially when they're on cake plates!!!
Hope you have a good trip. Love this cushion.
Clueless of the movie but I still LOVE your megatron pincushion!! You chose perfect fabric for it. I would not have had such luck. So cool!!!
The pic wasn't there!! Ahhhh! Oh well lookds like there might have been a winner already :o) Anyway, love the pin cushion.....it is HUGE! Very fun though.
I am working on my dress, I may not be done right at the end of feb, but we will see... I also switched dress... sigh, the drama!
:o) Hope to have Option#1 wedding dress done this weekend!! (that's the pattern pact I chose) Cross your finger!
Oh, I know I know! It's from North by Northwest and I think this still is from the scene in the United Nations when Thornhill is framed for murder - I haven't seen it in years, but I think I'm right.
You're giant pincushion is amazing by the way! You should put a strap o it and wear it on your head ala the munchkins in Wizard of Oz.
LOVE that mongo pincushion!
And speaking of big things ... I hope you had a great time in the Big Apple. :-)
Dude, I'm in a tearing hurry but wanted you to know I've nominated you for an award on my blog. Play or not, it's all good!!!
P.S. *snort* WV is "Diaties" Either Gods or fat free somethings!
