I started this quilt way...back...here. Yes, that says January 2007. And now it's COMPLETE!
So not all of the points are perfect...or even near perfect....
...but I had fun with some funky quilting...
...and I am glad to have it off my to-do list!
Speaking of lists, I've kind of forgotten about the lists in my sidebar, both my WIPs and my books read. There is no way I'm going to remember what I've read in the interim. Perhaps I should just start over...
And please keep my friends in The Plains and Athens in your thoughts. Multiple tornadoes touched down in the area last night, causing quite a bit of damage. We only heard a bit of rumblings here with lots of rain. Amazingly no one was killed.
If you look though the linked slideshow you will see some photos of the high school concession stand, or what is left of it. A friend was sheltered inside and, again, amazingly only sustained minor injuries. The photos of campus buildings destroyed are not of my campus (OU), but of an extension campus of OSU -- who are not back in session yet for fall.

That quilting is super!! I enlarged the picture to get a better look and I'm totally impressed. I only hope I can quilt like that some day!
yeah, that quilt doesn't look country :) and seriously, you did all of that tedious quilting yourself??
your quilt is lovely. I bought that modern fabric(as a remnant) in the center of your stars and am happy to see how nice it looks in your quilt!!
Congrats on the UFO finish! I'm sure it feels good to have it off your list. I have a quilt kind of hanging over my head that is older from when I first started quilting. The blocks didn't come out anywhere near right sized and I'm dreading finishing it.
The quilting is fabulous. It suits the quilt so well.
Don't fret about those points for one second ... the quilt is SPECTACULAR!
Those tornadoes are just freaky ... glad you're ok :-)
Tornadoes freak me out. Fortunately we don't get them here.
The quilt is very nice. Sometimes the mistakes give it character.
Wow -- I've been out of touch with they news -- I'm sorry to hear about the tornadoes. I do LOVE that quilt though. I was thinking of doing some quirky quilting like that on the ghastlies, but I don't think I can do it! Will probably resort to some sort of straight line or something. Anyway, great finish!
it's gorgeous! I love the print you used for the inside of the blocks
Thanks for letting me know about the tornadoes! That is some incredible damage.
Great quilt! I love the modern prints combined with the motled fabrics.
